Medical Order Tracking and Management System
OrderSentry is a medical order tracking and management system designed for use with the NextGen EHR (EMR).  OrderSentry links to the order table in the EHR  (KBM template set)  and provides user customizable visual reporting and filtering on all records and fields in the order table including selected fields from the diagnosis, service items, patient and provider tables.

OrderSentry provides 

-  Provides tracking the status of time sensitive orders such as referral orders and pap smears 
-  Aids in analysis of diagnosis and procedure coding patterns
-  Aid  provider ordering patterns and EM code analysis
-  Assist in eliminating overlooked order statuses

The query criteria screen is simple to use and similar to the order table pop-up templates. Workflow tasks can be sent from OrderSentry to NextGen workflow groups or users for orders that require attention. The tasks are automatically associated with the patient and encounter that generated the order and have options to append additional information about the order to the task description. The orders field list can be customized to show only the fields that you actually use in the order table and can be linked to the patient table for demographic information, the provider table to show the rendering provider for the encounter and the CPT (service item master) for pricing information. The screen grid is fully customizable as well and allows users to add/remove/move/group/summarize/sort columns, build customized filters for any column in the grid and save and recall custom grid views and query criteria.
