Supported EMR Platforms


ReCES 5x and CareSentry 5x were designed from the beginning to be portable to different EMR systems and database back ends.  Although the interface mechanisms and security requirements will require modifications to our applications for different EMR vendors, the core functionality of ReCES 5x and CareSentry 5x are independent of the corresponding EMR system. 

Base Requirements for Integration:

  • Database Platform - Simbiote applications can attach to most industry standard database platforms natively, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL and Sybase as well as almost any other database that can be accessed via an ODBC driver.  Since our applications are built around a SQL query engine, the database must use some flavor SQL as the data manipulation language.
  • Data Access - Because SimProbe can be configured to check almost any field in the EMR patient tables, access to the data required for these evaluations must be available.
  • Windows OS - Simbiote application are compiled for use on systems running Microsoft Windows 2000 or later.

Currently Supported EMR Platforms:

  • NextGen® EMR System version 5.37 or later - NextGen® Healthcare Information Systems, Inc.
