The ReCES application suite is an application set designed to perform real-time encounter based evaluations of research study qualification parameters to aid in the identification of potential subjects and leverage your EMR/EHR system for clinical trial recruitment. For organizations involved in clinical trial research, as the list of research studies grow, the evaluation of the increasing number of study parameters to determine viable candidates becomes increasingly difficult, if not impossible. Most studies require the evaluation of many different aspects of the encounter for inclusion or exclusion for each study: medications, diagnoses, vitals, demographics, lab results, etc. The ReCES system decreases the burden by performing the study parameter evaluations during the course of the encounter and alerting the provider of possible candidates so they are able to assess the interest of the patient to participate in research studies while the patient is in the clinic. The real-time nature of the ReCES system also allows for the evaluation of acute condition studies which would be almost impossible otherwise and helps to avoid exclusionary actions that may disqualify the patient.

ReCES Manager is the data management application where the research studies are defined and candidate information is processed. The ReCES application can be configured to check virtually ANY FIELD in any EMR template as a study evaluation parameter. The ReCES application also provides management capabilities for potential candidates so the research coordinators can further evaluate the patient and document work performed. |

SimProbe is an application that runs in the background on the provider's workstation, gathers information from the current encounter and evaluates the EMR data against the study parameters defined in the ReCES management application. It then alerts the provider about patients that may qualify for one or more studies. |

|
ReCES Monitor is an application that runs on a single workstation or server, usually executed once per day, that processes candidates to check the status of order pending and results pending candidates. Patients within the qualification values are accepted, those failing are deleted from the candidate list there by clearing the database of unqualified patients prior to coordinators/nursing staff reviewing their medical charts. |
